What lensartist:uk does to provide a secure and private online shopping experience.

Our payment site uses industry strength encryption, certified by Thawte our SSL Certificate issuers. This means that when you check out you are taken to our secure server so the information you provide to conclude the transaction is transmitted between your browser and our server securely.

When checking out, please ensure that the following is visible in your browser: (example shows IE7)



1: The address in the address bar should start https not http, the additional s indicates that the browser is connected to a secure server. This applies to most browsers, i.e. Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, Konqueror, Netscape etc. If there is a problem such as an out of date security certificate the address bar will change the background colour to red or you'll see a pop up alert. If you see any of these indicators that the secure site is either not secure or doesn't have our web address then please do not proceed with the transaction and report it to us.

2: In most broswers you should also see a padlock, either at the top of the browser near the address bar or in the status bar at the bottom of the browser window. This is a graphical indication that the browser is connected to a secure server.

Secure card detail processing

Once you enter your card details to pay for an order, those details are sent via an SSL (Secure Socket Layer) connection to ProTx (www.protx.com) who process the card details. We do not retain your card details whatsoever. As part of the order reconcilliation service no one at lensartist:uk has access to the card details.

Security Certificate

Our secure area is certified by Thawte, issuers of SSL Certificates which ensure that the server which houses the secure area of the site is secure using industry strength encryption methods.
